You Don't Have to Wear Black to Be Edgy
Posted on April 11 2016
There is something about Chandler from Candidly Chan, that everyone seems to love! When I first stumbled across her blog, I'm pretty sure I spent hours reading post after post. She has this writing style that is contagious. You can't just read one post!
Not to mention, she has killer style! I love how she pulls off even the most basic pieces with total fierceness. I love her edgy look! She can take the most girly item and add in her style to make it all her own.
I think I can prove my point with this picture. With their slight flare and high waistline, these pants have a feminine touch to them. Not to mention this shade of blue begs to be paired with a cute lace top. But I love how Chandler breaks the stereotypical mold.
Instead of glamming it up, I love how she made otherwise "dressier" pants seem more casual for everyday errands. By throwing on a loose muscle tank, it changes the dynamic. And you can't forget the nude bandeau peaking through the armholes. Oh so trendy right now.
There is something about plaid. I think it's appropriate for all outings! It's not meant just for a country concert and some boots. Chandler shows us how to put an edgy spin to this top! Throw on some black skinnies and a fedora. You don't look like you are from the country anymore!
Is there any possible way to make this top any better? As a matter of fact, yes. It's on SALE!! You can bet that this tunic length buttondown is going to make its way into your closet very soon.
Make sure to check out Chandler's blog, Candidly Chan! Each post is so inspiring!
