Multiple Sclerosis is something that hits close to home for me. Over 10 years ago, my mother was diagnosed with MS after a bad car accident when traveling for work. You see, I don't get my hard work ethic and drive from just my dad. My mom was one of the top sales people for Lab Corp, and work was her passion and what completed her. Sadly, this disease has taken that passion and drive from her. MS is a debilitating disease. There's no cure, and everyone's symptoms are different. It's progressive and damaging to the soul.
When I lived in NY, I'd raise money and participate in the Walk MS Event every year, and when I found out about the Tri-State MS event I knew I had to participate! There were several vendors and women who came together to have a fun "Girls Night Out". It was wonderful to see a group of women get together to raise awareness and money for such a good cause. The best part, all fundraising stays local!
