#HowToWearIt - STB Takes Chicago

We are always seeing celebrities on the front of magazines in their perfect street attire.  Girls, don't feel like you have to live in a big city in order to pull of this street chic look that everyone is so obsessed with. You can pull of that effortless city look too.  Recently, Single Thread sent me to Chicago and I spent the day running around the city modeling.

Sometimes I feel that when I am in a big city such as New York or Chicago, I feel under-dressed, or out of style. This trip was NOT the case. I felt completely trendy in Single Thread's new arrivals. I saw a woman strutting down Michigan Avenue wearing leather leggings with a striped top. The Blue Zipper Crop Top from Single Thread that I wore, along with the Dear John Beyonce Legging was ideal for a day out on the town. I love the simplicity of the blue and black stripes, yet the leather leggings made it sophisticated.

Also in Chicago I kept noticing this black-on-black trend. Sometimes black can mellow out an outfit but when its paired with the right accessories, you can pull off that laid back (yet still looking like you have it all together) look.  Black is a timeless color and a woman of any age can sport it. Many woman were wearing dresses and skirts and pairing them with a lot of jewelry and pumps. I am a little more on the edgy side so we paired this beautiful black studded dress with a hooded denim jacket and some combat boots. I would rock this outfit out to dinner or even on a busy Saturday morning full of running errands!

Dresses are one of those items that every girl has enough of but I can't seem to stop buying them! The Printed Fitted Scuba Dress is a perfect piece to add to your closet. You could wear this at a concert, a date night, or to work. The fit is spot on and the print is so flattering!
