Summer Refreshments: All Hail the Raspberry Martini

Sara Kamman

Posted on July 20 2015

When I get some free time in my life, I try my best to call my girlfriends to have some girl on girl time.  One of our favorite things to do is sip on martinis and be chatty Kathy's for a few hours!  The last girls night I had we went to Bonefish and I treated myself to one (okay, a few) Raspberry Martinis, and they are now my latest addiction!  A week after, I went on a search through Google to see if I could find their super secret recipe, and sadly I failed.  However, I found quite a few delicious recipes through Yummly!

1) Raspberry Martini - simple, easy, and no gimmics!  If you're hosting some of your friends who have a baby on the way or don't like the taste of alcohol, you can always omit the vodka!

1 Canada Dry Ginger Ale (part) 1 vodka (part, *omit for non-alcoholic) 1 tbsp raspberry sorbet fresh raspberries (for garnish)

1 Canada Dry Ginger Ale (part)

1 vodka (part, *omit for non-alcoholic)

1 tbsp raspberry sorbet

fresh raspberries (for garnish)

2) Raspberry Lemon Drop Martini - if you like something a little sweet and tart then this is the way to go!  Take a classic twist on the Lemon Drop and add the summer sweetness of raspberries.  We love how it's garnished with frozen raspberries, but you don't need to go that far if you don't have the time!

1/2 fresh lemon 1 1/2 ozs raspberry flavored vodka (Hangar 1 Fraser River) 1 1/2 ozs Absolut Citron Vodka 1 1/2 ozs cointreau 2 ozs lemonade (premium, Simply Lemonade or Newman’s are our favorites) fresh raspberries (for garnish, if available)

1/2 fresh lemon

1 1/2 ozs raspberry flavored vodka (Hangar 1 Fraser River)

1 1/2 ozs Absolut Citron Vodka

1 1/2 ozs cointreau

2 ozs lemonade (premium, Simply Lemonade or Newman’s are our favorites)

fresh raspberries (for garnish, if available)

3) Raspberry Champagne Cocktail - I know this isn't technically a "martini" but when you combine two of my favorite things, how can I not feature it?  I can see myself sipping this smooth drink during Labor Day while basking in the sun!

1 jigger vodka (a jigger is a stainless steel measurement for bartenders) 1 jigger pineapple juice 1/2 jigger simple syrup (Homemade Raspberry) champagne (Freixenet Cordon Negro Brut, chilled)
